New In Beauty and Shabby Chic

I've been so busy lately, that I've decided to spend this weekend on doing nothing e.g. popping into some shops, having countless coffees in town, watching some rubbish telly and movies and generally not rushing anywhere. I went round some charity shops in Eastbourne with the main thought of buying a couple of books to read in my everyday commute. I managed to get these but I also found a couple of other great things at bargain prices! A lovely H&M black collarless jacket with shiny detail and Vintage Boutique 60s style trench coat. I would love to show them to you now, however they both have been washed and are now drying!Maybe I can include them in my next post, especially that they are both brand new and cost me £5 each!!!!!!!what a great bargain! Moving on, I also popped in to Boots and Superdrug and some home accessories shops and lastly to Primark (with a thought of buying some black opaque tights). Below are the results of my wandering around town :) Effaclar Duo La Roche Posay (Boots £11.50) I have read great reviews about Effaclar Duo and for a while now my skin is in a worst condition it's ever been so I am really hopeful that this product will have to fight the blackheads and congested pores! Bliss Fabolous Foaming Wash 2-in-1 cleanser and exfoliator (In a set with lemon and rosemary body butter) So fresh and smells great! I bought this for travelling, because of its handy size Percy & Reed Volumising Hair OilBarry M Paint Pots (Boots £2.99 each) Boots had a great 3 for 2 offer and so I got these three lovely nail paints in great spring/summer colours: Acid Yellow (wow), Papaya (awww) and amethyst glitter (grrr). I love Barry M's nail varnishes and have quite a collection already! Primark Jewellery Silver ring £2 and three friendship bracelets for £1.50 ( I got rid of one as it was awful but these two are lovely!) And finally, something for my humble eclectic flat :) Mango& Coconut Pillar Candle Primark £2- smells wonderful Shabby Chic Relax Wooden Letters (Primark £1!!!) Sass & Belle Frame with Flower (£3.99 from a gift shop) Overall I came home happy with my purchases and treated myslef to coconut hot chocolate and some home-made chips :) Good day, K.

New In: Zara Studded Loafers

Today I decided to brace myself and raid shops for final sale items. I hate doing it- shops look usually very messy, lots of items are dirty, have holes or missing buttons, broken zips, are scratched or missing parts etc. However everybody knows that this is the best time to get amazing deals- if you manage to find your size! I am a UK 10-12 size with shoe size 4, which seems to be the most popular shoe size in the UK! This is the reason why I never buy shoes on sale- not because I don't like them, but because there is no availability. My shopping trip was fairly unsuccessful- I bought an orange nail varnish and....drums please...A PAIR OF SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though I didn't manage to find a blazer or a nice crisp shirt I am over the moon! My shoe collection gain another pair- beautiful black studded loafers from Zara and a mere bargain of £16.99 (down from £49.99!!!). YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's the best bargain you got this season? P.S. Tomorrow we are going to a car boot sale- so I can't wait to pick up some vintage/retro bargains and share them with you! Best K.

Charity Shops in Eastbourne

I am a sucker for charity shops and I am not afraid to say this! It is unbelievable how many wonderful things you can find- some of them completely random, others bang on trend for peanuts. I have recently bought a beautiful red wool hat with a cute feather- I would say from 70s era for £4!!! I managed to find vintage YSL sunglasses for £1.50 or real crocodile skin clutch bag for 99p. This has obviously taken me years- you don't just go out and find some many treasures in one day, patience is really required! I buy lots of books from charity shops and always look through their clothes rails and accessories bit as well. Last week I found a perfect denim shirt in over sized style, which I've been searching for for a long time. Guess how much I paid! £3.50!!!!!! I would say that's a great bargain! I roll the sleeves up and add a nice statement necklace or ASOS unusual collar tips (99p from Ebay). Just see below!
Good day! K.

Essie Nail Varnish

I am a huge fan of Essie nail polishes! They have an amazing range of colours, they last quite long and dry really quick! I am a bit of a nail polish junkie and have a large collection from various brands- Rimmel, Nails Inc., OPI, Max Factor,Ciate Paint Pots etc. With colours I try and experiment as well- neon yellow in the summer, metallic purple in festive season and stick to mellow shades for everyday wear like candy pink. At the moment I am selling some on E-bay as I don't have enough space on my dressing table to keep all of them! Eastbourne is one of the very few towns that still has TJ Hughes left! I know that lots of them shut down a couple of years ago when the company went into administration. Older people love this shop, younger never go in there and I must say that they are making a mistake! I pop in to the store quite often, because of the make up they offer- especially nail polishes! Would you believe that they are selling Essie for £2.99 instead of the RRP of £7.99!!!???!!!????!!! I was shocked too and decided to go for 3 shades! I dislike pink in general, however I love pink lips and nails! These are the shades that I purchased!
The first one is perfect for a night out, the second one is just too cute and the third one is my everyday professional work image nail varnish :) And here are my choices for the Autumn/Winter that I still be looking to buy in the coming months.
Which one is your favourite? Good day! K

Rock Chic T-Shirt DIY Tutorial

There are easy ways to customize your clothes according to new season's trends. A while ago, I have decided to pimp up my Zara American-Native grey t-shirt with studs that I purchased from E-bay for 99p! This is really easy and you don't have to be very crafty in order to do the same! This would also work very well on dresses, bags, shoes and also belts. What I used: Grey loose fit t-shirt Silver cone studs (I used 19) Pair of small pliers (I used jewellery pliers for this purpose) These are the very easy steps to follow: 1) Get everything ready and spread the t-shirt on a flat surface
2) You can out your studs one next to the other or measure 1 inch space between- if you are feeling courageous you can stick them as you go, otherwise I advise you to place them on the t-shirt first to see what the effect will be.
3) Secure the studs in place using pliers (jewellery pliers are sufficient enough) making sure that are on the same level. I decided to do the neckline and the sleeves as well, but you can experiment!
4) Et voila! Your rock chic t-shirt is ready!
This is dead easy and probably a 6 year old child would do a great job! But it only goes to show that in a few quick steps you can create something unique and no one else is going to wear it! I will try to take pictures of other things that I engage in- like jewellery making soon. For now- peace out!

E-bay is full of treasures!

As I mentioned before- E-bay is full of treasures! Only today I managed to buy a pair of grey suede ankle boots from Urban Outfitters (brand new in box!) for £14.50 (RRP £65!)- I cannot wait for them to arrive. This week I also won auctions for Zara wrap dress, Dorothy Perkins burgundy brogues (brand new- 99p!!!) and Asos rivet ring. I will go to my local haberdashery shop tomorrow and buy some nice ribbon to change the laces in the DP brogues and to give them a bit more bespoke look :) The only thing that I dislike about online shopping is the tormenting wait for the items to arrive! I already have visions in my head as to how I will wear particular garments and accessories, but have to put them on hold! Every so often I clear out my closet and sell some items on E-bay too! It really is a great way of earning that extra cash to spend on other bits and bobs and it also puts your mind at ease! Well- it puts my mind at ease as I too often think that I spend too much on clothes and accessories! I went for lunch with my friend today and on the way back I stopped at Topshop- why oh why! I managed to but chunky dip-dye necklace, 3 sets of earnings, including really cute stars and a set of 3 stack-able rings with hearts. My dressing table will soon collapse due to the amount of jewellery stack on it!
And here's how they look in real life with mink nail varnish- great for autumn season (apologies for the quality of the photo- my HTC mobile doesn't do a great job when it comes to close-ups!)
Have a lovely evening everyone and please visit my store on e-bay to give me clothes a second chance :) Tomorrow I will be customizing a grey Zara t-shirt with some studs that I bought last week on E-bay! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/karolinaka/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

E-bay to kopalnia skarbow!

Dzien dobry! Zakupilam miedzy innymi cwieki, ktore kosztowaly mnie grosze, a posluza mi do ozdobienia koszuli i nudnej czarnej kopertowki. A co was inspiruje?
A co wam sie najbardziej podoba? Jakie trendy bedziecie wykorzystywac w swoich stylizacjach? Pozdrawiam!
